So today I got to meet up with  one of the coolest authors. Her name is Cindy Hogan. Maybe you have read her book Watched? I got to come and learn about her career as an author, for a Job Shadow assignment. Being an author seems like it might be easy from the readers eyes. But it's really not. Cindy was explaining to me the process of being a writer. And i have to give her some credit because she is a hard worker. And she has A LOT to do in the day. But she does it and says its a blast.She taught me that one of the good ways to get started as an author is to start a blog and post things like the stories i write and other cool stuff! So today she explained to me that in order to be an author there is a lot of work. She says she gets up at 5 o'clock in the morning and just writes for 2-3 hours. And then she has a whole list of things to do. writing conferences, critics, and a whole bunch of stuff! But above all being an author/writer seems like a really fun career choice. She also mentioned a writing contest thing at Weber State University i will be joining which sounds like a whole bunch of fun. And for my job shadow i really wanted to do it on an author. Because i really want to be an author too. Like she said it would be a good idea to post some of my stories I've wrote, including ones i'm writing so they are soon to come!
